slangCommon Term
6-7 (Six-Seven)
six seven
Definition
A phrase kids shout that means, genuinely, nothing. It comes from a 2025 rap song and spread as a pure in-joke — the entire point is that it's meaningless, so saying it (often with a hand gesture) is funny precisely because it baffles everyone outside the group. It became one of the most-used kid expressions of the year.
Example Usage
“I asked what 6-7 meant and my son just said '6-7' again and laughed.”
Note for Parents
This is harmless peer bonding — closer to a secret handshake than to anything concerning. The only footnote is that the song it came from is adult rap, but the phrase itself carries no hidden meaning. If it's driving you up the wall, that's the joke working as intended.
