Definition
Short for 'Online Dater' — a player who uses Roblox to pursue romantic or sexual roleplay with others, which breaks Roblox's rules. 'ODing' tends to happen in social and roleplay games and can involve suggestive avatars, private servers, or trying to move the chat to another app. The community itself generally looks down on ODers, so 'ODer' is often used as an accusation or insult.

Note for Parents
ODing is one of the more serious concerns because it can be a route to inappropriate contact with children. Warning signs: a child being secretive about who they talk to, suggestive avatar choices, or being asked to move to Discord or Snapchat. Roblox bans ODing, but enforcement isn't perfect.
